21 Diy Wood Wall Art Pieces For Any Room And Interior in Lovely Home Art Wood by admin
1. Buy What You Love
Just as with everything in your house, things you have should appeal to you — you should love them! Art, in particular, is extremely private, and each piece is supposed to evoke an emotion and a feeling and be private to you. Above all, you should truly love the artwork that you select, so don’t buy anything just because it’s the ideal size or price. Make sure you love it!
And don’t be afraid to go in a different way if you find what you love. You might not know why you like something, or you may think that it’s out of your comfort zone, however, don’t let that stop you.
Choosing the right size is key, and each situation is different, but a general guideline is for the art to fill 1/2 into 3/4 of their space. For modern art, consider going even larger, since this art style lends itself to creating a bold statement both regarding the artwork itself, but also the dimensions of the canvas. If large-scale art isn’t in your budget, consider using a few, smaller pieces of artwork grouped.

3. Select Your Orientation
As a general rule of thumb, select your art to complement the shape of the room. Therefore a tall, narrow wall may look best with a portrait vertical orientation using a rectangular form. Conversely, many people like to hang art above the sofa, which is a long rectangular area, so opt for a landscape flat orientation in a rectangular form. A significant square wall may accommodate a square bit of artwork, etc. Have a look at the shape of the space you are attempting to fill and select the artwork of the exact same form.
4. Determine Your Spacing & Height
If you’re creating a gallery with several frames alongside one another, space the frames 1 1/2″ to two ″ apart. Take this dimension into consideration before purchasing your art so you understand how much room you’ll have abandoned for the art itself, and so, what size to buy. When it comes to hanging artwork, if it is hung too large, it may look very awkward and remove from the beauty!

5. Go past the Canvas
If you’re looking for art to fill your walls, don’t restrict yourself to print or canvas art. There are many types of items that work well on walls and function as art, such as tobacco baskets, quilts, mirrors, antique dividers, classic doors, and even architectural pediments! When shopping online, these types of items are often listed under”Wall Decor” as opposed to”Wall Art” so you may have to correct your look a bit, but be open to all the choices before searching for the ideal art for your area.

6. Pick Your Color Scheme
The colour of the artwork that you select is essential, as it needs to work with your home’s overall colour scheme and surrounding decor. You can select art to blend together with your walls, pick up an accent colour, tie your entire colour palette together, or even stick out on its more common with modern art.
One word of caution: I’d refrain from surfing online websites by color. In my experience, if you filter by colour, you’ll only see a portion of the artwork available that may have colours that work to your home because when the retailer doesn’t label its colour when they load it into their system, it won’t show up on your search! Also, occasionally, art gets labeled exclusively by the color of the main image, not the background. So for example, I was looking for blue art and many bits were filtered out that had a blue sky or blue rivers as they are considered secondary, but for me, these pictures would fit my needs.
Can you believe this did not appear in my search for”blue”? I’d have missed it if I’d filtered by color!

7. Set the Mood
The disposition of your artwork will affect the disposition of your room, so make sure you bring it into consideration for the space in which you’ll be using it. A beautiful picture depicting a misty mountain could be the perfect size and color to your space, but if you are hanging it in a kids’ playroom, it might not be the right energy for your room.
In all honesty, one of my favourite areas to find artwork is HomeGoods, but as you might know with that shop, the selection is hit or miss. They have bits of all sizes and fashions, and the rates are unbeatable, but it is just luck if you encounter just the correct thing for your home, which explains why I often shop online. Here are a few of my favorite places to search for art, in no particular order.
Again, picking home art wood is quite private, but the goal is that you appreciate it and for this to be the right size, shape, and color for your property. Obviously! What would life be without a sort?!
